BitDynamic translation application

Download and compatibility

All three models use the BitDynamic application, operated by Bit Dynamic (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd.. A BitDynamic account and internet connection are required for translation. Offline translation is not advertised for these products.

Translation modes

BitDynamic advertises face-to-face translation, simultaneous interpretation, social-chat translation, voice and video-call translation, photo translation, text translation, and voice-to-text. With compatible earphones, supported modes include two-earbud conversation, one-earbud conversation, and speaker mode.

Included application access

• X5 Pro: one year of BitDynamic access included with the product.

BitDynamic separately offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions. Application features, availability, pricing, and service terms are controlled by BitDynamic and may change. Get Smart Rings, LLC does not operate the application.

Audio, transcripts, and privacy

According to BitDynamic's published privacy policy, voice input used for recognition and translation is encrypted and transmitted for processing. BitDynamic states that this voice input is deleted after the processing purpose is completed. Converted text dialogue is stored for later access. BitDynamic also describes collecting account, device, Bluetooth, location, network, and log information depending on the features and permissions used.

Location access is used for nearby-device discovery and location-related functions and can be revoked through device settings. BitDynamic's retention policy states that personal information is kept for the period required to provide its services and is later deleted or anonymized as required. Users can request deletion through BitDynamic.

The Apple and Google application disclosures are not identical. Customers should review the current store listing and BitDynamic policy before registering or using translation features.

Translation limitations

Translation accuracy, delay, language availability, and feature availability can vary with speech clarity, accents, background noise, network conditions, application version, device compatibility, and BitDynamic service availability. Translation should not be relied upon for emergencies, legal advice, medical instructions, or other situations where an error could cause harm.
